Sketch a G+1 residential plan according to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS code

Aim – 1) Design the G+1 Residential Building according by vastu shastra

2) Calculate the building load calculation using IS code

Introduction:

Vastu shastra :

• Vastu shastra is the ancient indian science of architecture and acts as a guideline to design your home in a way that enhances positive energy
• Vastu shastra is the Rooms in house for meditation and prayers will ensure spiritual growth
• Vastu shstra is guiding us to direction of room, bed room, water tank, bathroom etc.
• Eash direction signifies an aspect of life and is governed by various gods

Load calculation

• For load calculation we are using IS 875
• For dead load – is 875 Part-1
• For live load- IS 875 Part-2

Assume column size 230x300mm.

Assume beam size 230x350mm

Assume slab thickness 150mm

The height of wall is 3m

• Dead load calculation

Self-weight of column- 0.23x0.3x3x25=5.175Kn

Self-weight of beam - 0.23x0.35x25=2.01K/m

Self-weight of slab -0.150x25=3.75Kn/m²

Self-weight of wall- 0.23x3x20=13.8kn/m

• Live load

As per IS 875 –Part2

Living room- 2Kn/m²

Kitchen room- 2Kn/m²

Bedroom- 2Kn/m²

Terrace floor- 2Kn/m²

Toilet and bath- 2Kn/m²

Staircase- 3Kn/m²

Balconies- 3Kn/m²
