Sketch a G+1 residential plan according to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS code

Calculate the individual corresponding loads from the members as per IS code.

" Kindly , find my sketch in a pdf. "

Calculation of loads ,

Dead load calculations ,

a) dead load of columns,

dimension of clm = 0.3m x 0.3m

height of clm = ((slab thickness *2) + (height of wall for( ground floor + first floor))

= (0.25 * 2) + 4 + 3.5 = 8m.

total volume of one column =0.3*0.3*8

= 0.72 m3.

unit weight of RCC = 25 Kn/m3

therefore ,

deadload of column = volume of column * unit wt of RCC

= 0.72*25

= 18 KN

b) dead load of beams ,

dimension of beam = 0.3*0.45 m

total volume of beam = 0.3*0.45*1 = 0.135 m3

unit weight of RCC = 25KN/m3

therefore ,

dead load of beam = 25*0.135 = 3.375 KN

c) dead load of slabs ,

assume , slab is 1m * 1m in size .

thickness of a slan = 0.25m

unit weight of RCC = 25 KN/m3

total volume of slab = 1*1*0.25 = 0.25 m3

dead load of slab = 0.25*25

= 6.25 KN

d) dead load on walls ,

thickness of walls = 0.23m

unit wt of brick masonry = 20 KN/m3 ( as per is 875 , part 1 )

height of ground floor wall = 4m

dead load of ground floor wall = 4*0.23*1*20

= 18.4 KN

Therfore , the ht.of the first floor wall = 3.5 m

dead lload = 3.5*0.23*1*20

= 16.1 KN

Therfore , total weight = 18.4 + 16.1 = 34.5 KN

Live load calculations ,

As per is875 part 2 residential buildings ,

living , dining , kitchen , bedroom , washroom , toilet , storeroom = 2 KN/m2

Terrace , staircase = 3 KN/m2.
