Section Modulus calculation and optimization
Hood design section model Hi sir, I am chinnamani
I am working on a benchmark with a presentation available on the car in the market following:
- Mr. Chinnamani I am working in Bangalore and live married my wife is fully crowed in the area city market
- His family comprises 4 members including my wife and my mom in the
- Car.
- Once a month visits his native place Navakkurichi which is almost 400 km away from Bangalore He will be using his car to commute to his office. His budget falls between 6 lakh to 8 lakh on the road. Please suggest to him options so that he will buy a good car for his family.
Note: Chinnamani is fond of BIG CARS
BMW CAR HOOD DESIGN and calculate the section modulus using the formula.
S=I/y
Explain the formula.
S=sectionmodulus
I=moment of inertia
Distance between the neutral axis and the end of the object.
Distance between the neutral axis and the end of the object
Come up with a new section that has an improved section that has an improved section modulus compared to the previous one and mention what changes you made that resulted.
Section modulus is a geometric property for a given cross-section used in the design of beams or flexural members. Other geometric properties used in the design include an area for tension and shear, the radius of duration for compression, and the moment of inertia and polar moment of inertia for stiffness.
The moment of inertia is specific to the bending of the cross-section of the member. Section modulus: the ratio of the maximum moment on a beam and the maximum fiber stress(or moment of inertia over distance to the neutral axis of the member.
