Roof Design
A car roof assembly consists of several key components, which may vary depending on the vehicle's design and type. Important parts in Roof Assembly are as follows,
1. Roof Panels: These are the outermost layers of the roof, usually made of steel, aluminum, or composite materials. Roof panels provide structural support and protect the interior from external elements.
2. Roof Rails or Drip Rails: These components run along the edges of the roof and help manage water runoff and contribute to the car's aerodynamics. Roof rails are also used for attaching roof racks or cargo carriers.
3. Roof Pillars : These vertical or sloping supports connect the roof to the vehicle's body, providing structural integrity and support for the roof.
4. Roof Seals and Weatherstripping: These prevent water and air from entering the cabin and help maintain a sealed and quiet interior.
8. Roof Insulation: Additional insulation may be installed between the headliner and the roof panels for thermal and acoustic comfort.
9. Roof Bow Central : Its a part situated at centre for roof support, its joined with roof by masticks and edges are joined bu providing external bracket or another reinforcement.
Joinary Method :
Front and Rear rool rails are joined to roof upper styling via masticks and end of the rails are attched to corner reinforcement via spot welding. Also in similar fashion roof bows are joined to rood upper by masticks and end edges joined by spot welding still the joining methods can vary depending on OEM's.
