Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

  1. Battery, Ammeter, Voltage regulator, Generator, Starter, Fuse, Distributor, Foot Selector Switch.
  2. Battery : A device that can store, accept and release electricity on demand, the charging and discharging of a battery is occured due to an electrochemical reaction between anode and cathode.

    Ammeter : An instrument that can measure current in Amperes.

    Voltage regulator : It is device that is used to stabilize or regulate fluctuating voltages and ensure steady constant voltage through all the operations.

  3. Fuse rating is always greater than that of load rating,

    But as per industry standards, Fuse rating = 125% of load rating,

    => Fuse rating = 125% (10)

    => Fuse rating = 12.5 A (As per industrial standards.)

  4. Given, Load = 500 W,

    Lets assume Voltage = 12V,

    Capacity = Ah

    I = P / V,

    I = 500 / 12,

    I = 41.66 A

    for 1hr time,

    Capacity of battery = 41.66 Ah.

  5. Horns, Scaled beams, and most of the load elements are connected in parallel, inorder to have a same voltage.

  6. Battery, Ammeter, are connected in series, to have a constant current throughout.
