GENERATOR
A generator is a device that converts motion energy into electrical energy for use in an electrical circuit
WORKING:Generator dont create electricity instead they convert mechanical or chemical energy into electrical energy
electrical power is generated using alternators called as ac generator used in thermal power plant ,hydro, nuclear power plant.they do it by capturing power of motion and turning it into electrical energy by forcing electrons from the external through forcing circuit.
BATTERY
A Battery is connection of cells .the chemical reaction occuring in the cells of a battery result in the flow of electricity ina circuit .
WORKING: WHEN A BATTERY IS SUPPLYING POWER ,its positive terminal is the cathode and its negative terminal is the anode the terminal marked negative is the source of electrons that will flow through an external electric circuit to the positive terminal.when a battery is connected to an external electric load,a redox reaction converts highenergy products ,and the free electrons difference is delivered to the external circuit as electrical energy.
AMMETER
AMMETER IS AN INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING EITHER DIRECT OR ALTERNATING CURRENT ,IN AMPERES.here in the circuit the ammeter is used measured wide range of current values because at high value only small portion of the current is directed through the meter mechanism.
3.The total load is 10A from battery, what should be the fuse rating
the fuse rating will blow , fuses are used to protect wiring.the wiring for 5Amps circuit cannot handle 10Amps.therfore the 5amps fuse will do its job by creating an open circuit and stopping the flow of electricity.if the load is 10A is usually not a safe minimum , the potential impulses or even small flututation as a fuse is desiged to the not exceed the restriction on the current ,to prevent damage of circuit ,the fuse rating mainly depends on its frequency necessary to included other factors includind ambient energy during fault, inrush current.
4.If 500W is the load, what is the
Assuming this is for a 12v battery
500watt/12V/70% efficient= 60Amp
100AmpHr / 60Amp= 1 hr 40 min
200AmpHr /60 Amp = 3 hr 20 min
5.Any two elements which are connected parallel to each other. Why they are connected in parallel
Tail stop and Dome light are connected in parallel in parallel the positive side is connected to positive side and negative side is connected to all the negative side it increasees the run time while maintaining the voltage where voltage remains the same.
6.Any two elements which are connected in series. Why they are connected in series
Fuse and Ammeter are connected in series,Fuse is a electrical protection device built around a conductive strip that is designed to melt in case of excessive current flow.fuse are always connected in series with the circuit to be protected from excessive current. when the fuse blow it will open the entire circuit and interrupt or stop the flow of current through the circuit. An Ammetrer is a device which measures the amount of current flowing in a circuit.it is very low resistance device.if it is connected in parallel it would draw most of the current and get damaged hence it is connected in series.
