Project - Analysis of a practical automotive wiring circuit

1. The major elements of the above automotive wiring diagram are STARTER, BATTERY, BREAKER, DISTRIBUTOR, GENERATOR

2. The three elements are :

1. Battery

2. Ignition coil

3. Distributor

4. Breaker

1. Battery: Battery is the element that supplies enough voltage and current to the entire body of the car.

2. Ignition Coil: The ignition coil is the element that is widely used in Hybrid and electric cars in generating the spark to burn the fuel at an exact temperature.

3. Distributor: The distributor is the element that is used in hybrid and electric vehicles to distribute the required and equal amount of energy to all parts of the vehicle.

4. Breaker: Breaker is the element that is used in Hybrid and electric cars widely to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by overcurrent/overload or short circuit.

3. Given

Load = 10A

Battery voltage = 12V (Given in hint)

Fuse rating I (Amps) = P (Watts) ÷ V (Voltage)

I = 10/12

= 0.8333 amps

Fuse rating of the given load = 0.833a amps

4. Given

Power P = 500W

Battery voltage V = 12V (Given in hint)

Voltage V = 12V

The capacity of the battery = 1000 / 500

= 2 hr

5. Plate light and Dome light are connected in parallel because the voltage should pass through the circuit equally to those lights, Imbalance in the voltage will affect the working of the light at its capacity, and if voltage increases only one of those light get damaged and saves the other one by opening the circuit.

6. Ammeter and battery are connected in series because the current(I) across the circuit will be calculated exactly.
