MAJOR COMPONENTS IN THE MODEL :

CONTINOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION DRIVE (CVT): It is better to have more gears in a transmission. since it can optimize engine speed in variety of driving condition that means low gears can provide better acceleration while higher gears will maximize fuel economy.

variable ratio gear represents variable ratio gearbox such as implemented by mechanical belt CVT,hydraulic, electric transmissions.

input signal

CVT gear ratio input:

Torque vs engine speed input :

vehicle body:

output:

Vehicle attains its maximum speed at around 55km/sec at full throtle 0.5 and remain constant.

CVT SHAFT RPM: variable speed of input and output

case-2

simulink model of BAJA ATV WITH CVT USING DASHBOARD:

A knob is given to control both brake and input throtle parameter real time for user

CVT MODEL:

ouput speed for vehicle speed:

the above i observed velocity that if throtlle and brakes keep as given initial condtion and if we change the values and if run long run time the velocity has reduced at once cange brake value increase.

cvt shaft in rpm:

CASE-3

SIMULINK MODEL FOR BAJA ATV WITH CVT USING LOOK UP TABLE:

CVT BLOCK:

CVT GEAR RATIO:

LOOK UP TABLE ISUALIZAATION:

VEHICLE SPEED :

CVT SHAFT RPM:

The only difference between above two and this one is here the gear ratio input to CVT is providing lookup table.

conclution:

observe the Three different model of baja all terrain atv model recorded the outputs vehicle velocity and cvt shaft rpm
