Project

this simulation contains set of models created with Simulink, Simscape, and Simscape Driveline.
it includes BAJA ATV model with Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT). Simscape and Simscape Driveline have been used to complete the system.

this above composited vehicle has many simulink blocks as well as simscape blocks but very importantly we haven taken three things into consideration while reporting the above video link. the three things are generic engine, CVT and vehicle body. all these three components are physicallly interconnected to eachother .

1.) GENERIC ENGINE: it is inbuilt block present in simscape. it has various parameters which can be altered to observe the mechanism and function of generic engine. parametes are like engine torque and many more. but rather every time manually changing data and observing changes in model, we can create script method. but in case if image datasheets is given and we have to extract values from it and include in model, at that time we can use GRABIT and import data directly into model.

2.) CVT( continuosly variable transmission): It includes belt, primary pulley, secondary pulley, and variator. prmiary and secondary pulley can be shown in simulink by input and output shaft blocks and sensors are connnected to observe RPM of pulleys. we also have observed velocity curve and secondary puller curve are almost similar to eachother, since they are connected to eachother physically.

NOTE: generic engine and CVT are connected to eachother by gear ratio block.

3.) VEHICLE BODY:

most imprtant is design and skeleton of vehicle at the same time mass of vehicle has significant role to play in vehicle dynamics. we have observed that vehicle of different masses gain same velocity after travelling fix distance, but iniatlally this is not true. initially, according to masses of vehicle, velocity varies .
