Project - 2 - Meshing on the suspension Assembly
AIM:
To model the rear wheel assembly of the car which is given in the project2 challenge and also the necessary connection.
PROCEDURE:
1. Firstly I checked the geometry and started from the wheel and rim meshed according to the quality criteria given in the challenge and defined a volume and did remesh.

2. Then the spring is modeled as 1d element and considered as PBAR element.

3. Then non-uniform thickness components which are having a thickness of more than 5mm are surface meshed initially and then defined as solid and tetra mesh is done.

4. Then I went for the uniform thickness component and manual mid-surface and assigned thickness.

5. Thus all parts in the assembly are meshed and ready for connections.
6. Mostly there are bolt joints where I used a similar connection as the RBE2 element.

7. As it was mentioned in the challenge to perform the symmetry option, I did that, see the following,

But I did not save it, Because it makes the file size, even, bigger and I am not able to attach it here.
RESULT:
Thus the project learning outcomes are deployed a FE model for the assembly level and also the required connection and overall knowledge in preprocessing.
