PROJECT 2 - BACKDOOR WIRING HARNESS

As per the given link of the Backdoor CAD, I have downloaded it and and converted it into the CATPart file . Then I have Opened a new Product file and added the CATPart file of the Backdoor into it. Then I have added new Product file named Routing inside the Main product file that I have already created in the name "Backdoor Wiring Harness".

Then for the routing, I have downloaded and added the connectors needed (One interconnector connector, two 4 pole connectors for the tail lamp and two 2 pole connectors for the number plate ), Clips and clamps needed(I only added Fir tree clip for the correct routing) in the Routing Product file.Then I have defined them electrically. Then I have placed the Connectors to the position they needed and then I have placed the fir tree clips at the positions they needed. And then started to route the bundle from the Interconnector connector through the fir tree clips it reached to the two 4 pole connectors . Then by adding the branch point in the main bundle from starting the interconnector connector, I have routed another bundle to the two 2 pole connectors through the fir tree clips. Thus I completed routing of the bundle through the backdoor.

Then I checked if the routing is fully connected in the geometrical bundle segment electrically. After completion and analysation of the routing, I started to flatten the routing . For that, I have created new Product file named "Backdoor WH Routing EHF". Then I added Flatten parameters to it and extracted the routing to the file. And then I flattened it, using flattening tool. Then I adjusted the length of the bundle in the flattened file for the drawing to get in the sheet correctly using Scale tool.

Then I opened new drawing file and taken the front view tool added the bundle routine in the face of a connector and adjusted its orientation and added a heading. Then I saved it in pdf format and also in CATdrawing format.
