Project 1 - V&V SW Analysis - I
Solution:- Designing a Test Plan to test the features of a new hone, with the given data.
What do you mean by Test Plan?
Test plan is a detailed documentation process that describes the test strategy, test objectives, schedule, estimation, deliverables, and resources required to perform the testing for a software product. Test Plan helps us to determine the effort needed to validate the quality of the application under test.
We can say that it is a type of blueprint running the tests of that product which we are going to use in upcoming days, that means a Test plan consists the detailed understanding of workflow of that system which are going to be tested with the help of various test method.
Steps to create a Test plan:-
- Product Analysis
- Test Strategy
- Test Objective
- Establish Test Criteria
- Planning Resource Allocation
- Planning Setup of Test Environment
- Determine Test Schedule and Estimation
- Establish Test Deliverables
What do you mean by black box testing?
Black Box Testing is mainly a software testing method, in which the functionalities of software applications are tested without knowing the internal code structure, implementation details and internal paths. It mainly focuses on input and output of software applications and it is entirely based on software requirements and its specifications. It’s also said to be Behavioral Testing.
Prominent types of Black Box Testing are:-
- Functional Testing
Test related to functional requirements of system done by SW tester
- Non-functional testing
Test related to non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, usability.
- Regression Testing
Test done after code fixes, upgrade or any other system maintenance to check that new code doesn’t affect the existing code.
Black Box Testing Techniques:-
- Equivalence Class Testing
- Boundary Value Testing
- Decision Table Testing
User Acceptance Testing:-
User Acceptance Testing (UAT), is the final testing performed once the functional, system and regression testing are completed. That means main purpose of this testing is to validate the software against the requirements. This validation is carried out by the end-users who are familiar with the requirements.
UAT is also known as Beta or End-user Testing, which is done by the user or client to determine whether the software is accepted or not.
Test Plan for the Given Condition:-
if( Product Owner,Long Press the Power button )
{
Switch On, Company logo display at the center
}
elseif(Customer press the Power Button )
{
display On, apps are in Grid view
}
elseif(Owner, ON the Power)
{
Displaying 1st Icon as"Call the phone" in bottom bar
}
elseif(Owner, ON the power)
{
Displaying 2nd Icon as "Dictionary" at bottom bar
}
elseif(Owner touches "call the phone" Icon)
{
Contacts visible in chronological order
}
elseif(Owner touches"Dictionary Icon")
{
Search bar appears at middle with the message "search your word here"
}
elseif(Owner long press "Power ON button")
{
Switch OFF the phone with the message"Good-Bye"
}
elseif(Icon displaying defaults)
{
Fonts are by defaults"Calibri(body)" having font size 12
}
elseif(Customer touches any part)
{
displays ON, Ask for security key
}
else
{
No hard buttons are there
}
