Project 1 - 2D meshing on the instrumental Panel
Our Objective is:- For the given component, check for the geometrical errors and mesh with the given element Quality criteria
So Basically I downloaded the model and did following steps:-
1) Do the TOPO
2) Apply Quality parameter and Mesh parameter as per given in question
3) Apply Length in Mesh Module
4) Check Geometry
In this model there are lots of triple cons, crack , single cons are there which basically did not fixed by Auto-Fix , hence it had to do manually.
So I clicked FIX option in geometry check , the errors which was likely to be fixed they are fixed , but there were several errors which have comment "AUTO FIX" and still they are not fixed , so I fix that manually it took me around 4-5 hrs to clean up geometrical check.
But there are still several single cons that are present , but they are end cutting part so we will leave it. As shown below.
After Gemetrical check up we will go to Meshing part.
So, for meshing I prefer Casting method , therefore my plan of action was to cut into 3 different part by iNot option & do castion on them one by one. (this was because my system have not very high processor and RAM or even Graphics)
It took lots of time but after all the casting was done on all 3 cutted parts.
PART 1
PART 2
PART 3
After that I gave reconstruct option on complete model in one shot , it also took very much time but after all it was remeshed , but still there was several Quality errors were present , upto this point of time 520 errors were present .

Now it was time to remove errors , therefore I used Paste, Split, Join, delete, Swap, fill for achieving our target.

It took me 2 days to remove all 520 Quality errors.
Finally my Quality error are gone and model was fully meshed perfectly.

and our total elements and tria percentage was as shown

Now its Time assign thickness to model.
For this I used mid surface -> thickness -> convert option

After then one dialog box came in which I provided step as 0.1

After wards thickness PID starts and we get the properties

Hence our objective is COMPLETED.
