Project 1
Q1.
-Channel on LHS:
< ></> <>> <> < ></> <>< ></> <> </> <>-> <>< width>
-Bundle connection - All ok since no false actions
< width>
---Steps involved:
-Define the connectors electrically & then store the connectors in the catalogs.
-Open new product file & browse the engine harness body into it.
-In the product file add another product viz engine harness geom. to add all the connectors.
-Define the geometrical bundle for the main product file viz. engine harness assembly.
-Place the locators into respective areas, e.g.: considering 4 P connector for injectors, Coolant temp. sensor 3P,oil temp sensor 3P, vehicle speed measurement & neutral position 2P
--Flattening workbench
-Open the flattening assy file from the electrical equipment systems & find the parameters as below
-Browse from the catalog.

--Interconnector parking:
-Device connectors are always parked with the device body.
-Interconnect devices should be parked with the help of cips /Clamps/sheet metal brackets etc
-If unpark connectors can create the following issues
--> Ratling noise
-->physical damage
--> Uncontrolled harness routing
--> Manual errors during assembly
Design criteria while designing harness:
-Harness coming from the outside area should be at a lower elevation than that inside the car harness.
-harness should be easy to assemble & disassemble
-Harness should be secure properly so that it will not get damaged.
-Routing to be kept away from heat zones.
-Should kept away from direct water splashes/sharp environments.
-Harness should be kept away from wire envelope
Notes:
-Branch length should be more then 50mm
-minimum distance between clip & nearest branch point should be 25mm
-Minimum distance between 2 branch breakouts should be 50mm
-Battery cables to be routed at least 50mm away from metallic surroundings
