PROJECT 1- ASSEMBLY ENGINE HARNESS CONTEXT

In this project, I have started it with respect to the given datas of Engine cad and its needed connectors. By analysing the V16 engine after converting it into CATPart file(Assy. Engine V16 Background) , I have analysed the locations of the connectors , clips and equipments we needed for the routing of the wire through the engine. So I started to import the needed connectors, clamps and guiding channels to the product file(Assy Engine Harness Geometrical Bundle) I have created the inside the main product file (Assy Engine Harness Context).

Initially in the Assy. Engine Geometrical Bundle, I have started to define all the connectors, clips and equipments electrically and given them the bundle connection defintions where we need routing through. So after defining, I have placed the connectors where the connectors are to be connected with 16V Engine(16 spark plugs and 4 sensor connectors with 4 pole connector and 3 2 pole connectors ). After that, I have added a sheet metal bracket and placed it in a proper position and added anothe connector to it which is defined electrically and placed it in the proper direction. Then I have added 3 P clamps at different edges for the proper routing of the wires. Then I have added some fir tree clips where I thought it is needed for the proper routing of the wires. Then atlast I placed two guiding channels to avoid the heat transmission from the engine to the wire which connects tot the spark plugs. And kept it in the proper position.

Then I started routing the wire from the connector which I mounted on the sheetmetal bracket to the P clamps and through the fir tree clip to the guiding channel and atlast to the each and every spark plug connectors. Then I have added needed Branching points to the positions it needed and diverted the wire route to the connectors needed the wire routing. Like a wise routing is completed for each and every connectors with proper direction and preventions from stress, strain( By adding slack) and heat (By adding Guiding channel). Thus I completed my routing.

Then I started to flatten my Assy. of Engine Harness Geometrical Bundle. I flattened it after checking the fully connectivity of the geometrical bundle as electrical. Then After that I have added the drawing of the components into the A0 sheet.
