Project 1

AIM-: Calculate the dead load , IRS live loads , Earth pressure load , wind load and seismic loads for the bridge structure at Ahmedabad Metro rail project and apply it given model

Given data-: Yw=18kn/m^3 ahemdabad location

as it is underground metro station wind pressure is not acting so their is no application of winmd pressure

earth pressure can be calculate as height of GL from forndation is 20m

earth presuure =Yw*ht=18*19=342kn/m^2

other things as per is 875 and sesmic 1893

we get the after stadd analysis

first let us know the dimesions of the structure as go to utilities>node to node distance>select starting node and end node it will show the dimension

after this first load we have to define i.e sesimic load for this go to loading>definition>sesimic

click add above dialogue box appeare select generate and below box will open change city responser as rc building special moment resisting structure type as important building

after adding sesmic in load case noe add dead load

select the roof top level for assigning dead load

define vehicle load as irs 170,[email protected],[email protected], [email protected],[email protected] and then generate load case and provide the coordinate to vehicle load for moving

after generating load case add earth pressure add load items as plate load and in olate load select hydrostatic now select

the plate @ both ends and put values as 342kn/m^2 in -x dir interpolation@ y pressure direction as GX

now the run analysis 0 error ,0warning goto post processing

select plate stress select dead load MX local its shows the relative values

for track portion MY local the results are as shown

by changing the load case as earth pressure we get the different result for that in plate

simillarly for each load by changing the load case we get the result and value can be note for further analysis
