AMERICAN CHOPPER MODEL
OBJECTIVE :
In this project an American chopper is designed by Solidworks. The copper consists of different componets. These components are designed separately in different part files by mking use of different
features of solidworks.
INTRODUCTION :
In this project we are to learn the entire modelling of an American chopper using slidworks for modelling and solidworks visualize for Rendering.
DESIGN METHODOLOGY( FLOW CHART) :

DESCRIPTION :
1.TRANSMISSION BELT :
A belt is a loop of flexible material used to link two or more rotating shafts mechanically ,most often parallel. Belts may be used as a source of motion ,to track relative movemnt.
Belts are looped over pulleys and have a twist between the pullys,and the shafts need not be parallel.
TOOLS ;
LINE , CIRCLE, 3-POINT ARC ,TRIM,EXTRUDE,FILLET

2. KICK STAND :
A kickstand is device on motorcycle that allows the bike to be kept upright without leaning another object or the aid of a person . A kickstand is usually a piece of metal that flips
down from the frame and makes contact with the ground. it is generally located in the middle of the bike or towards the rear.
TOOLS ;
CIRCLE, LINE, SPLINE, EXTRUDE,FILLET,CUT-EXTRUDE,DOME

3.FRONT FENDER :
A Fender is essentially a covering for your bike tires that protects you from the rain. Riding with fenders will prevent the rain from splashing a streak of muddy water up
your back,over your shoes and on your face.
TOOLS ;
LINE,3-POINT ARC,SPLINE,TRIM,CIRCLE,EXTRUDE,SPLIT,CUT-EXTRUDE,FILLET,REVOLVE

4. FRONT WHEEL :
Motercycle Wheels are made in to cope with radial and axial forces . They also provide a way of mounting other critical components such as the brakes ,final drive and suspension.
Wheels and anything directly connected to them, are considered to be unsprung mass. Traditionally motorcycles used wire spoked wheels with inner tubesand punematic tyres.
TOOLS ;
LINE CIRCLE,SPLINE, 3-POINT ARC,FILLET,TRIMM,EXTEND,EXTRUDE,REVOLVE -BOSS,EXTRUDE-BOSS,REVOLVE CUT,EXTRUDE CUT,CIRCULAR PATTERN,CHAMFER

5. REAR WHEEL :
Rear wheel drive is a from of engine and transmission layout used in motor vechicles,in which the engine drives the rear wheels only.
TOOLS ;
LINE CIRCLE,SPLINE, 3-POINT ARC,FILLET,TRIMM,EXTEND,EXTRUDE,REVOLVE -BOSS,EXTRUDE-BOSS,REVOLVE CUT,EXTRUDE CUT,CIRCULAR PATTERN,CHAMFER

6.REAR FENDER :
The bolted panel which covers the wheel on dual rear wheel pickup motorcycles call as fender.A Fender is essentially a covering for your bike tires that protects you from the rain. Riding with fenders will prevent the rain from splashing a streak of muddy water up your back,over your shoes and on your face.
TOOLS ;
LINE,3-POINT ARC,SPLINE,TRIM,CIRCLE,EXTRUDE,SPLIT,CUT-EXTRUDE,FILLET,REVOLVE

7. CHAIN :
A motorcycle chaon is a rollar chain that tranfers power from the pedals to the drive wheel of a mototorcycle ,thus propelling it .Most cycles chains are made fromplain carbon or alloy steel
but some are nickel plated to prevent rust ,or simply for aesthetics.
TOOLS :
LINE,3-POINT ARC ,SPLINE,CIRCLE,EXTRUDE,FILLAT ,MIRROR,CIRCULLAR PATTERN,

8. OIL TANK:
Fuel tank also called a gas tank or petrol tank ,is a safe container for flammable fluids ,often gasolineor diesal fuel.though any storage tank for fuel may be so called ,the term is typically
applied to part of an engine system in which the fuel is stoed and propellled or released into an engine.
TOOLS :
LINE,3-POINT ARC,SPLINE,CIRCLE,EXTRUDE,FILLET,SHELL

9. FRONT FORKS :
A motorcycle fork connects a motoercycles front wheel and axle to its frame ,typically via a yoke ,also known as tripple clamp,which consists of an upper yoke joined on a lower yoke
joined to a lower yoke via a steering stem,a shaft that runs through the streering axis.
TOOLS:
LINE ,CIRCLE,SPLINE,TRIM,3-POINT ARC,EXTRUDE,FILLET,CUT-EXTRUDE,MIRROR,LINER PATTERN ,REVOLVE BOSS,REVOLVE CUT,DOME,SWEEP,CHAMFER

10. CHASSIS :
A Motorcycle frame is a motorcycles core structure.it supports the engine ,provides a location for the steering and rear suspension ,supports the rider and any passenger or luggage.
also attachedto the frame are the fuel tank and engine.
TOOLS ;
LINE,CIRCLE,TRIM,SPLINE,EXTRUDE,CUT-EXTRUDE,MIRROR,SPLIT,DOME,FILLET,CHAMFER,SWEEP,REVOLVE

11. PEDAL :
A Pedal is the part of a motorcycle that the rider pushes with their foot to propel the vehicle.it provides the connection between the cyclist's foot or shoe the crank allowing the leg to
turn the bottom bracket splindle and propel the motorcycle wheels.
TOOLS ;
LINE,CICLE, 3-POINT ARC,SPLINE,EXTRUDE,REVOLVE,FILLET,DOME,SPLIT,CHAMFER, LINEAR PATTERN

12.ENGINE :
A motorcycle engine is an engine that powers a motorcycle.motorcycle engines are typically two-stroke or four- stroke internal combustion engines,but other engine type,such as electric motors have been used.
TOOLS ;
LINE ,CIRCLE,SPLINE,3-POINT ARC,FILLET,CIRCULAR SKETCH PATTERN ,EXTRUDE BOSS,EXTRUDE CUT,REVOLVE,DOME,SWEEP,SPLIT,FILLET,CIRCULLAR PATTERN,LINEAR PATTERN,MIRROR, CHAMFER

13. FUEL TANK :
The main function of fuel tank is simply to hold fuel .However ,its also provides a secure area for the knees to grip while riding ,acting,as an important point of contact between bike and rider.
TOOLS;
LINE,SPLINE,TRIMM,SWEEP,EXTRUDE,SWEEP CUT,LOFT,SPILT,SHELL,FILLET,TRIM
