PROJECT REPORT ON ‘AMERICAN CHOPPER BIKE’.
OBJECTIVE OF THE AMERICAN CHOPPPER BIKE.
- The Objective of this project is to re-create the American Classic with the use of technology at our disposal.
- We would be creating all the individual parts like wheels, chassis, tank etc with the use of SOLIDWORKS.
- Post creation of parts they would be assembled with the use of Assembly feature within SOLIDWORKS.
- Finally we would be using PHOTVIEW360 to apply proper aesthetics like Lights, Camera, Background environment, Backdrop lights, Shadows etc. in accordance to real world scenarios.

ASSEMBLY OF PARTS
- In this section, all individual parts which are mentioned above are assembled together using various types of mates. These mates are defined below as:
- Concentric mate – used to aline the parts along a single plane or direction.
- Coincident mate – used to coincident the parts via their opposite faces.
- Distance mate – used to place the parts at a defined distance from the fixed plane.
- Limit angle mate – used to limit the angle of rotation of parts.
- Width mate – used to place apart between two planes or faces with an accurate distance from the adjacent plane or face.
- Parallel mate – used to place the parts parallelly, by selecting their same side face.
DECALS
- Decals are the logo, text & decorative design prints, which gives an attractive look to the parts. These decals are placed over the following parts.
1. Gas tank
2. Oil tank &
3. Rear fender.
APPEARANCE
- To give a better look to the parts, the colour appearance plays an important role which attracts everyone to focus on it. In this assembly model,
1. orange colour is given to oil tank, gas tank, chassis, front fender & rear fender
2. Back colour containing rubber material property is given to the front & rear wheel tyres.
3. White LED light colour effects is given to front headlight.
ASSEMBLY OF AMERCAN CHOPPER BIKE.

RENDERING OF AMERICAN CHOPPER
-
The rendering is done using photoview 360, which gives an aesthetic look to the ‘American chopper bike’. The following steps are taken to render the yacht assembly.
- At first switch on the photoview 360 option, ( Tools -> add-in-> photoview 360 )
- Then go to render tool option. In this section, all option is available to set the rendering.
- Set Chopper assembly in a perspective view.
- Add the camera to set up the view at an angle.
- Add lights, to get appropriate brightness over the assembly.
- Add background scene & environment scene to give the assembly an outstanding background.
- Click on an option from render tool, toolbar to set the size of the window.
- Then, the Preview window option is used to create a preview image of the setup.
- & after that final render is done using final render option given in render tool, toolbar.
- After getting a desirable look to the assembly, click on save image option to save the image.

CONCLUSION
- So, in this project of designing a 3D model of ‘American Chopper Bike’, I have learnt all the features of solid modelling. I have also learnt to sketch with the help of blueprint & rendering, which gives an aesthetic look to the mode.
