Photo Realistic Rendering
MODELING A AMERICAN CHOPPER
INTRODUCTION:
In this project, we are going to create an AMERICAN CHOPPER with the help of solid works 2022. At this first we learn commands after that using this command we draw the sketch of the part with the dimension. after completing all parts we assemble the American chopper. Then we add the lights, camera, decals to the model and dothe rendering of the chopper using the solid works visualization 2022
OBJECTIVE:
- The objective of the project is to create a model of different parts of the chopper using solid works
- To assemble the different parts moduled for the chopper
- To add decals and create a photorealistic model of the chopper and render the model using Solidworks visualize

- Chain
- Front fork
- Chassis

DESIGN APPROACH
There is two types of design approach
- Bottom-up approach
- Top-down approach
Bottom-up Design
In bottom-up design, you first design and model parts, then insert them into an assembly and use mates to position the parts. To change the parts, you must edit them individually. These changes are then seen in the assembly.
Top-down approach
In Top-down design, parts shape, size, and location can be designed in the assembly

Feature
- Extrude
Extrude is a tool used to extend a sketched profile in one or two direction as a thin feature or solid feature.an extrude operation can either add material to a part or remove material from the part

- Fillet
Fillet creates a rounded internal or external face on the part.you can do it to all edges,or selected edges,or edge loop

- Revolve boss feature
Revolves add or remove material by revolving one or more profiles around a centerline.you can create revolved boss, revolved cut,or revolved surface

- Mirror
Create a copy of a feature, the feature can be mirrored about a plane.you can select a body that has to be mirrored and select the plane that has to be mirrored about.bodies to mirror

- Extrude cut
Extrude cut is used to remove materials from the 3D model using 2D sketch. you should do a 2D sketch where the part to be removed and do a extrude cut so the un wanted part is removed from the 3D model

- Shell
The shell feature is used to hollow out a part, you can shell a soild part, creating a closed hollow model, you can also shell a model using multiple thicknesses

- Linear pattern
This feature is used to create a multiple instances of one or more feature along one or two linear path, you can space uniformly along the path you have selected.create one or more features to replicate

- Reference geometry
Reference geometry defines the shape or form of a surface or a solid.Reference geometry includes items such as planes, axes, coordinate systems, and points.you can use reference geometry in the creation of several kind of features

- Projected curve
With the help of projected curve you can project a sketched curve onto a model face to create a 3D curve.you can also create a 3D curve that represents the intersection of two extruded surfaces generated by creating sketches on two intersecting planes.you can also use 3D sketches as input for the projected curve

- Knit
Knit tool is used to combine two or more faces and surfaces into one.Create a solid body when the knit surface from a closed volume,or leaves as a surface body.select merge entities to merge face with the same underlying geometry

- Mate
Mates is used to create geometric relationships between assembly components.when you add mates you define the allowable directions of linear or rotational motion of the components.you can move a component within its degrees of freedom
RELATIONSHIP IN SOLID WORKS
- Parallel
This parallel feature helps to keep the selected items at a constant distance from each other

- Tangent
Tangent is used to place a cylindrical, spherical, or conical face tangent with other components

- Coincident
Coincident mate is used to mate between two features that you want to coincide with each other

- Concentric
A concentric mate forces two cylindrical faces to become concentric.the faces can be move along the common axis

ASSEMBLY OF THE CHOPPER
This is where all the parts are assembled into one whole chopper. First the chassis is inserted by using insert part in the option.with the chassis as our base we insert the other parts and with the help of mates relations we fix the parts in appropriate position to get a fully defined chopper

DECALS
A decals is a 2d image applied to the model.decals is used to enhance the look of the chopper by giving details and design to the patrs.

RENDERING
In this process we add lightings, camera, scene, and decals to the model to look realistic and give a good look to it.solidworks visualize allows to leverage your 3D data to create photo-quality content in the fastest and easiest way you can from image to animation to give a virtual reality look to the model
