Photo Realistic Rendering
AMERICAN CHOPPER
Objectives:
This project is used to design the different parts of the American chopper by using the solidworks by creating drawing and converting into 3D models applying appearance and materials. By assembling the modeled parts to get the American chopper. To Create a Photorealistic model of the chopper and Render the model by using Solidworks Photoview360 or Solidworks Visualize

Introduction of Solidworks and Chopper:
SolidWorks is a solid modeling Computer- aided design (CAD) and Computer- aided engineering(CAE) application published by Dassult System The Chopper is a type of custom motor cycle which emerged in California in the late 1950s. A chopper employs radically modified steering angles and lengthened forks for a stretched-out appearances.
Methodology:
Different parts of the Chopper.
- Transmission Belt
- Kickstand/Side Stand
- Front Fender
- Rear Fender
- Chain
- Oil Tank
- Pedal
- Front Wheel
- Rear Wheel
- Front Fork
- Chassis
- Engine
- Gas Tank
Transmission Belt.
Transmission Belt in the chopper used to link two rotating shafts mechanically and it is made up of flexible rubber material. used as a source of motion to transmit power efficiently
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Boss Extrude
- Offset Entities
- Fillet
- Appearances

Kickstand:
Kickstand used to support the bike and also known as Side stand and swiveling metal
bar or rod attached to a 2-wheeled vehicle and used to prop up the vehicle when it is not in
use.

Features Used:
- Sketch
- Fillet
- Boss Extrude
- Cut Extrude
- Dome
- Loft
- Split
- Appearances
Fenders:
A fender is also known as Mudguard, essentially a covering the bike tries that protects from splashing a streak of muddy water.
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Spline
- Boss Extrude
- Fillet
- Split
- Revolve Boss
- Shell
- Appearances

Chain:
It is a metallic chain that is used to transmit power from the engine to the rear wheel. The sprocket is used to transmit the power to the chain.
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Mirror
- Boss Extrude
- Fillet
- Blocks
- Curve Pattern
- Body -Delete/Keep
- Appearances

Oil Tank:
Oil Tank is a container for storing fuel and it release to the engine. The thickness of the oil tank is given as 3mm in our chopper
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Combine
- Fillet
- Boss Extrude
- shell
- Appearances

Pedal:
Pedal is attached to the chassis it is designed to place the leg to give comfort to the riders.
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Boss Extrude
- Linear Pattern
- Fillet
- Dome
- Revolve Boss
- Chamfer
- Appearances
Front Wheel:
The wheel is a circular block made of the steel or alloy material on the top of the wheel the tyre is covered and it’s made of rubber and it has thin wires within it.
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Revolve
- Trim
- Fillet Entities
- Boss Extrude
- Revolve Cut
- Chamfer
- Fillet Features
- Circular Pattern
- Cut Extrude
- Linear Pattern
- Appearances

Rear Wheel:
A circular object that revolves on axle and is fixed below a vehicle or else other object can move easily over the ground. Disc and sprocket are attached with Rear wheel. The chain is connected between the engine and the rear wheel, compared to the belt it will be more efficient and losses in the chain will be less comparatively.
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Revolve
- Trim
- Fillet Entities
- Boss Extrude
- Planes
- Revolve Cut
- Linear Pattern
- Chamfer
- Fillet Features
- Extrude Cut
- Circular Pattern
- Appearances

Front Fork:
The Front fork of a chopper will have a significant impact on both the ride and aesthetics, and it’s attached the front wheel to the chopper. Material used steel, aluminum, titanium and carbon fiber.
Features Used:
- Sketch

Chassis:
A chassis or frame forms its skeleton. All the components of a chopper, like the suspension, wheels, fuel tank, seats, handlebars etc, are attached to this base structure which lends a chopper its strength and ability to handle well.
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Spline
- Sweep
- Combine
- Dome
- Project curve
- Revolve
- Extrude cut
- Split
- Boss Extrude
- Fillet
- Appearances
Engine:
A engine or motor is a machine designed to convert one or more forms of Energy into Mechanical energy. The mechanical work in the engine is rotational motion. This rotation is converted to the wheel with the use of the chain and sprocket through the gearbox and clutch.
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Convert entities
- Trim
- Project Curve
- Revolve
- Boss Extrude
- Extrude Cut
- Offset
- Dome
- Fillet
- Composite curve
- Sweep
- Mirror

Gas Tank:
Gas tank are used to store the gas. To give the gas to the engine whenever its required
Features Used:
- Sketch
- Project Curve
- Trim
- Convert entities
- Sweep surface
- Loft surface
- Cut Sweep
- Surface Knit
- Surface trim
- Fillet
- Mirror
- Shell

Assembly:
The various parts of the chopper are combined in the solidworks assembly and placed in the exact position with the help of the mates.
Features Used:
- Mates
- Insert Part

Rendering:
The process of generating a photorealistic image of 2D or 3D models. Rendering is done in two ways by photoview360 and Solidworks visualize.

Conclusion:
At present days American chopper bikes are fashionable and famed bikes across the globe, from these progressions, I understood the creation method of the choppers bike using the imaginary software solid work 3D model, which made me extra enthusiasm to understand the concept to bring the accurate output product.
