Introduction to National Building Code and Steps in a Construction project
QUESTION 1
BUILDING CODES of standard modeling
- A model building code organization is a set of building codes that are developed and maintained by a standard organization. This standard organization operates independently of the jurisdiction or area in which the building code standards are being developed.
- Local Govt or councils can adopt these building codes as they see early, to the better observation of construction within the area
- Building codes organization establish minimum safety, construction, and material requirements for builders to adhere to it
- To achieve the minimum standards of safety and welfare of residents of a building, the governing body defines a set of guidelines to regulate the construction activities termed building codes.
- A building code is a set of rules to regulate the construction activities across the country
- NBC ( National Building Code of India) is a comprehensive building code, is a national instrument providing guidelines for regulating the building constructions activities across the country.
- It serves as a model code for the adoptions by all agencies involved in building constructions work be the Public Work Departments, other Govt construction departments, local bodies, or private construction agencies.
- The code mainly contains administrative regulations, developments control rules and general building requirements, fire safety requirements, stipulations regarding materials, structural design and constructions, building and plumbing services approaches to sustainability an,d asset and facility management
QUESTION 2
From the National Building Code list the groups that will be essential to you when you beibegindelling in Autodesk Revit
For the convenience of the users, this information is also in folthe lowing five groups of the NBC of India 2005 each incorporating the related thets/sections dealing with a para particular area of building activity
GROUP 1: For development, building planning, and related aspects
GROUP 2: For structural Design and Related aspects
GROUP 3: For Construction Related aspects including Safety
GROUP 4: For aspects Relating to Building services
GROUP 5: For aspects relating to plumbing services including Solid Waste Management

GROUP A: Residential
GROUP B: Educational
GROUP C: Institutional
GROUP D: Assembly
GROUP E: Business
GROUP F: Mercantile
GROUP G: Industrial
GROUP H: Storage
GROUP I: Hazardous
Designing should be done in the respective areas
The code, besides prescribing the various provisions also allow freedom of action to adopt appropriate practices and provides for building planning, designing,d construction for absorbing traditional practices as well as latest developments in knowledge in the various disciplines as relevant to a building including CAD or Modern sensor aided activities in the various stage of conceptualization, planning, designing, construction, maintaining and re repairing buildings.
India being a large country with sustainable variations from region to region, this code has endeavored to meet the requirements of different regions of the country, geographical terrain, proneness to natural disaster, ecologically appropriate practices, use of eco-friendly materials, reduction of pollution, protection, and improvement of local environment and also socio-economic consideration toward the creations of sustainable human settlement

Research new materials and methods of development
Organize and maintain existing engineering records
Construct prototypes and confirm designs with the design/ purchasing team
Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes
Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards
MANAGEMENT TEAM
Initiating project managers begin each new project by defining the main objectives of the project, its purpose, and planning.
Once the charter is approved, the project manager works with key stakeholders to create an integrated project executing
During this phase, team members complete the work that has been scheduled
