Hood

The hood is made up of various components such as the outer panel, inner panel, and reinforcement. The outer panel is the visible part of the hood that is exposed to the external environment. The inner panel is located beneath the outer panel and provides additional strength and support to the hood. The reinforcement is located between the inner and outer panels and provides additional rigidity to the hood.

Latch trajectory:

The latch trajectory is an important aspect of the hood design as it determines how the hood opens and closes. The latch trajectory is defined as the path taken by the hood latch during the opening and closing of the hood. The latch trajectory is critical in ensuring that the hood opens and closes smoothly without any hindrance.

Mastic data:

Mastic is a type of adhesive used in automotive manufacturing to seal joints and gaps between panels. Mastic data refers to the specification of the type and amount of mastic used in the hood design. The mastic data is critical in ensuring that the hood is sealed properly and is resistant to water, dust, and other elements.

Emboss definitions:

Embossing is a process of creating raised features on a panel. In the context of hood design, embossing is used to create stiffening ribs on the hood panel. Emboss definitions refer to the specification of the size, shape, and location of the embosses on the hood panel. The emboss definitions are critical in ensuring that the hood panel has the required strength and rigidity.
