JAPAN STANDARD -:
In Japan, the regulations for wheel arches depend on the type of vehicle and its intended use. Generally, the regulations focus on ensuring that the wheel arches do not cause any safety hazards, such as interfering with the proper functioning of the vehicle's suspension or steering systems, or posing a risk to pedestrians or other road users.
For passenger cars, the regulations state that the distance between the outermost point of the tire and the edge of the wheel arch should not exceed 10mm when the vehicle is loaded to its maximum weight capacity. The regulations also specify minimum ground clearance requirements to ensure that the vehicle does not scrape against the road surface.
In the United States, the US Coast Guard (USCG) sets the regulations for fender use on vessels. According to USCG regulations, all commercial vessels must have fenders or other protective devices to prevent damage during docking or mooring. The size and number of fenders required are based on the size and type of vessel. The USCG also requires vessels to have a contingency plan in case of a fender failure or emergency situation.
Fender Regulations in Europe:
In Europe, fender regulations are set by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA). The EMSA requires that all commercial vessels operating in European waters must have fenders or other protective devices that meet the standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The size and number of fenders required are based on the size and type of vessel, as well as the location where it operates.
