Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge
Objective;
To Calculate the Wheel Arch gap at required points in given design and check whether the car passes the European standard regulation or not.

Wheel Arch is the semi circular area in the Fender, Which covers the wheel of the car. There must be some clearance between Tyre and the Wheel arch of the fender depends on different region regulation standards. So, the tyre will not touch the wheel arch of the fender during suspension. It also serves for the safty of pedestrian and also helps to protect the car from mud or stone which is thrown from the ground during rotation of the tyre.
There are three standard regulations they are given below,
Japan Regulation Standard:
In Japan Regulation the clearance value will be more than the 5mm at 30 degree at forward and 50 degree at backward from the central vertical line and its show in Fig.2.

European Regulation Standard:
In this regulation clearance value must be more than 10mm at the points SA, SB, SC, SD and SE shown below in the Fig.3 which is Europian standard regulation.

US Regulation Standard:
In this US Regulation Standard the clearance must be on all position from -10 to 180 degrees. All values must be greater than 5mm.The Clearance Value will more than 5mm at line 30 degree forward and 50 degree backward from central vertical axis. It is show in the Fig.4.

Conclusion:
I observed above clearance value of the given fender will not pass European stander in the Position SA, SC, SD, & SE. At position SB the required stander is met and further modification at that position is not required. This data will be sent to the styling team to modify the Fender wheel arch as per the Europian Standards.
