Fender Design - Wheel Arch Challenge
Calculate the Wheel Arch gap at required points and check whether the car passes the European standard.
A) There are few standards are there for wheel arch gap measurment like US standard, Japan Standard, european standard.
FENDER WHEEL ARCH
Wheel Arch is the semi-circular part of the fender positioned above the wheel of the vehicle. The design of the wheel arch of the fender should be such that it must shield wheels and protect both passengers compartment and pedestarians from the projection of watr, mud and stones. The wheel arch area of the fender is usually designed as a cover or shield over the tyre along its perimeter to stop any debris or stones ,dirt, sand, snow, etc, from getting thrown into the vehicle or the BIW area as well as outside the vehicle and onto other vehicles or pedestarians on the road. For the vehicle to has its permit in different countries, the wheel arch of fenders must be compliant with the standards and regulations set by respective countries.
The European regulations requires a pre-determined clearance or a minimum distance of 10mm to be maintained between the fender and respective tyre at particular points, along the tyre profile as shown below:

STEPS FOLLOWED FOR DOING THIS CHALLENGE:
1) First we need to define a sketch for drawing lines.
2) After defining sketch, we need to draw a line to let side of tyre with 30 degrees gap from the main center line.
3) And draw a line towards right side from center line with 50 degrees gap.
4) After drawing those two lines, from the x-axis draw a 150mm line to vertical direction. And drwa a line from center of point of circle towards the line.
5) Draw a midline between 50 degrees line to 150 mm line.
6) After drawing the line, measure the gap btrween the points. If distance is more than 10 mm then it is ok i.e it is understandard. If it is less than 10mm then it is not standard.

Here only 30 degrees line is standard. Remaining are all not standard
