STUDY OF WHEEL ARCH ON FENDER

INTRODUCTION OF WHEEL ARCH :

The design of the wheel arch of a fender should be such that it must have shield wheels and protect both passengers compartment and pedestrians from the projection of Water, Mud, and Stones.

Wheel Arch is the Semi-Circular part of the fender positioned above the wheel of the vehicle.

For the vehicle to has its use permit in different countries the wheel arch of enders must be compliant with the standards and regulations set by the respective countries.

JAPAN WHEEL ARCH REQUIREMENTS

as per the diagram, the letter L represents the clearance between the tyer and the wheel arch is 5mm

and the letter A represents the minimum height between the wheel arch and the top face tyer should be 10 mm are greater

EUROPEN WHEEL ARCH REQUIREMENTS

as per European standards, the minimum clearance of L is 10mm

and minimum clearance of A IS 10mm

UNITED STATES REQUIREMENTS

as per united states the minimum clearance of L IS 5mm

and the minimum clearance of A IS 10 mm

AS PER JAPAN REGULATION

L1 = 10.0000 mm at first point

L2 = 0.113949 mm at second point

A = 44 .7577 MM AT first point

the given wheel arch model is not sastisfying for japan wheel arch regulations

AS PER EUROPEN REGULATION

L1 = 10. 3554 mm at first point

L2 = 9.9490 mma at 2nd point

L3= 0.113949 mm at 3rd point

L4= 2.18524 mm at 4th point

L5 = 5.9973mm at 5th point

A1 = 44.7577mm at first point

A2 = 38.3599mm at 2nd point
