AIM

To follow the given Master section to create the Drip Area for the Sill Mount, Bumper Mount and A-Pillar mount

FENDER

Fenders denote the car body part that frames a wheel well (the fender underside). Its primary purpose is to prevent sand, mud, rocks, liquids, and other road spray from being thrown into the air by the rotating tire. The term “Fender” usually refers only to the panels over the front wheel arches since in modern cars, the rear “Fender” are rather an integral part of the car’s side wall. The industry changed from rear wings bolted onto the quarter panel (a body panel which extends between the rear door and the trunk) to an enlarged quarter panel that fulfilled both functions and ultimately to a one-piece side wall. Today’s state-of-the-art is a one-piece side wall; the quarter panel is used in those cases where the production of a one-piece side wall is not feasible for technical reasons.

Previously we had Full Bumper Fender. But currently we are using only Half Bumper Type. The reason & ADVANTAGE of having HALF BUMPER FENDER

FENDER MOUNTING

DRIP AREA

Drip Area Flange will be mounted with help of Fastners on the Assy. Shortgun Panel Outer LH. This region is where it has contact with the engine compartment. Drip Area has Design Parameters where we have to maintain 150mm gap from the extreme end of hood and 200mm or less from the extreme end of A pillar. Remaining area is for the Drip Mount. The 150mm is the minimum value. 200mm will vary acording to the wiper motor area.

Flat Surface was made by creating point to point line from the edge of the Drip flange and extruded the surface. Then extrapolate on both sides, trim. We have a Falt surface now for the gun to mount the fastners without interuption.

Two Stiffners are provided to add more stiffness to Drip area.

Drip Area is designed in such a manner that the inner components are made hidden to the customer.

BUMPER MOUNT

Bumper Flange will be mounted with the bumper mount frame. Where both Bumper and Fender Bumper mount will have contact.

BAFFLE MOUNT

Baffel Mount will be mounted with the Baffel panel component.

SILL MOUNT

Sil Mount will be mounted with the Lowe Body panel.

BODY MOUNT

Body mount flange will be mounted with the A pillar panel.

COWL

Cowl is the wiper mount area.

MASTER SECTION

FENDER SURFACE for Mounting Flange

Multiple extract the surface and did a parallel curve to 5mm and gave provision for the mount according to the design requirements then split the whole surface. Now we have the desired flange extension. Follwed master section to create the Drip Area and other Flanges are designed according to the design requirements.
