Fender Design
FENDER
A fender is a structural component of a vehicle's body that covers and protects each wheel, preventing road debris from being thrown up and contributing to the vehicle's aesthetics, aerodynamics, and safety.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
The front fender has basically five mounting positions with respect to the other components. The mounting positions are as follows:
- Drip Area Mounting
- Bumper Mounting
- A-Pillar Mounting
- Sill Mounting
- Baffle Mounting
For the creation of the Mounting, the given Master Section is followed, and the other mounting points are created by assuming appropriate positions with the respected components.
1. Design of Drip Area Mounting
The drip area mounting where the fender is attached to the engine compartment.

2. Design of Bumper Mounting
The region where the fender is attached with the bumper.

3. Design of A-Pillar Mounting
It is the region where the fender is going to attach with the A pillar part of the vehicle

4. Design of Sill Mounting
Sill is the panel directly below the bottom of the door supporting the floor and may be used to combine the floor and the body . the bottom end of the fender is mounting on the sill body for reinforcement of the fender panel

5. Design of Baffle Mounting
Baffle mounting or mudguard are clip fit type of mounting on the inner side of the fender arch over the Tyre
