Door Arm Rest Week 8 Challenge
TOOLING AXIS:
The base surface of class A surface of door arm rest is extracted and tooling axis is created . The point for tooling axis is created using hole in extracted surface. first form an arc and with help of arc form an circle . create a midpoint in the circle and form an line using point to direction.

SLIDER AXIS:
extract the side face of class A surface of door arm rest and untrim the extracted surface to form complete surface .create a midpoint on the untrimed surface and create a line along normal to surface to form slider axis

CLASS B SURFACE:
1.OFFSET CLASS A SURFACE:
offset the class A surface to 2.5 mm as per design value.

2.MISSING SURFACE:
while offsetting class a surface inward there will be some parts missing in the offset surface and to fix this do an multi section soild to fill gap created.join multisectionsolid with offseted surface

3.REMOVING RIBS:
The ribs from the back surface is removed by using join sub elements to remove command.fill the surface to form a surface without ribs

4.RESULT:
extrapolate the improved offseted surface and name as class B surface

CLASS C SURFACE:
create an boundary from class A surface and do an sweep command in the crearted boundary. The smooth curve is swept using sweep ----> Line type -----> with reference surface -----> 90 deg angle (5mm sweep length). The edges are joined to form the class C surface

JOIN CLASS A AND CLASS B SURFACE:
The class A surface and class C surface are joined using join command.

FINAL CLOSED SURFACE:
class C surface is trimmed with the A & C surface join to create the final part of A, B & C surface trims.

FINAL SURFACE IMPROVED:
After joining all the faces there will be a surface left to fill in the bottom. The class B surface hole is filled and the Class A surface hole is extrapolated then is trimmed to form the final part or final surface.

SOLID BODY:
convert the final surface into solid body using close surface command.

DRAFT ANALYSIS:
There is lots of deviations and corrections to be done with the class A surface which has to be done by the surface A designers. Part body is created for the given surface and draft analysis is done and submitted.
