Design of backdoor
Downloaded all files from drive link and saved.
Opened Siemens NX12 and created an assembly file with child parts as
- Backdoor Outer panel upper
- Backdoor Lower panel lower
- Backdoor Inner Panel
- Hinge reinforcement LH
- Hinge reinforcement RH

Modified surface A with joining them using Trim sheet, offset in face and sew.
1. Backdoor Inner Panel

Created tooling direction for overall panel manufacturing.

Created geometry as shown in image using Law extension, offset curve in face, edge and face blend.

Created embossing geometry and supporting face on inner panel. Using bridge curve and trim sheet, removed all sharp corners. Mirrored final geometry and examined for intersectioned surfaces and gaps and finally sewed.

Created emboss and hole for fitment purpose.

Created thicken with 0.75mm thickness.
2.Backdoor Outer panel upper

Created class C using offsetting surface and studio surface and joined by adding face blend for Hemming.

Created thicken with 0.75 mm thickness and assigned colour.
3.Backdoor upper panel lower

Using WAVE Geometry linker, extracted the lower area of class A surface.

Created Hemming by using offset surface, offset in curve, studio surface and face blend.

After creating hemming portion, mirrored and sewed the surfaces. Examined for intersected surfaces and gaps.

Created thicken with 0.75mm thickness and assigned feature colour.
4. Hinge reinforcements

Using WAVE geometry, extracted critical surfaces on which most of the pressure dependent on. Created thicken with 0.75mm thickness.

Mirrored the hinge reinforcement body, and saved.
