PROCEDURE:

Open the autoCAD click on the workspace switching and change it to 3d modeling and click on the home button near the view cube.Set the limits and zoom-all

DRAWING OF 3D FURNITURE ELEMENT:

AIM:1

To create the 3D model of furnature

PROCEDURE:

  1. Open the AutoCAD, select imperial as the units are in feel and inches.Go to units'command and set it to engineering,so that feet inches can be inserted.
  2. Create a box by clicking from the toolbar or box command, click on the length, give the length as3' and width as2'.6''.Height is to be specified.giventhe height as2'.6''
  3. Select the front face , command "ucs" give the xand y coordinate in the face horizontally and vertically respect or click on the face and select the front face.Type the command"PLAN" so that the front face is aligned correctly.
  4. Draw line of 2'' from the right side of the front view.By rectangle command of dimension 32"and2'4''
  5. Movethe rectangle to the line draw earlier2'' fronm the right of the face.
  6. Delet the line created eatlier. Now with command "3do"orbit the object and select the rectangle.
  7. Extrube the rectangle to -z axis2'4'' leaving 2'' thickness. Now give the command "Subtract" select thr larger object then smallerexruded rectangle 2d wireframe model.
  8. Dimensions are given by dim linear command by switching the ucs

RESULT:

AIM 2:To create a 3d model of isolated footing

PROCEDURE:

  1. Create a rectanlge of2'x2' on the top view.Create another of1'x1' on the topview
  2. With the command "3do"3d orbit the view to suitable one. With 'M' move command move the small rectangle 1'x1' by2'in -z directionwith ortho on
  3. Click on the loft from the home toolbar and select the two rectangles tyo loft
  4. Again go to the top view and create rectangle on the top of bigger rectangle of same size click on extrude from the home toolbar and selectthe created rectangle and give the extrude height as6'' anf the direction of extrusion is pointed as the mouse
  5. By using ucs command give the dimensions

RESULT:

AIM 3:To create a 3d model of 'AASTHO' type girder using AutoCAD 3d

PROCEDURE:

  1. Click on front view.use command make the x and y asis in the front view plane
  2. The by line command draw the I-section with the given dimensions as above.Command "L" draw a line of 1' that is the top wideth of the gider
  3. With the line draw a6'' downwards. With the snap on draw a line from the center of 1' and offset 3'' on both sides that the width of web becomes 6''
  4. Give a taper distance and join the web and the flange, mirror the same on the other side. The web is given a height of1'6'', offset the distance 1'6'' from the end of tampering of the flange portion, delete the center line chamber
  5. Extend the web to the offset line.Again 6"from the last line and taper the sides.Mirror the taperd portion to the other side. the sides should br tapered in the bottom should be 1'6'',draw a center line and on both the sides
  6. Offset 6'' downwards from the bottom horizontal line to define the height. to draw the taper at bottom 1'4'',from the center draw a line andoffset 8''on the sides
  7. extend the 6'' offset line and trim the rest of lines.Draw the vertical line downwards and tapering also
  8. With 3d orbit turn the view and drawa line of10' in z-axis . click on sweep from toolbar and select the section and them the path through which the section to be sweep i.e,the line

RESULT:

AIM 3: To draw the 3d modle od dropcolumn with panel section and show its isometric view

PROCEDURE:

  1. Create a circle of diameter 1'6'' in the top view
  2. Create a region-by- region command and select the rectangle extrude it withe extrude in home toolbar and give a distance od 10'.
  3. Create a cone by clicking on cone from the home toolbar.Click on diameter and give base diameter as1'6''
  4. Click on top radius and give the value as 1'6'' and give height of the cone as1''
  5. Place thr frusum of cone on the top of the exruded circle.i.e, the column in the front view, with snap place such that the center of two objrcts coicide , also place the center od frustum with center of column in top view
  6. In the top view, create a rectngle of dimention4'6''x4'6''.Extrude it to a height odf 6''
  7. In the top view place the rectangle at the center of cone and also adjust in the front view or give movecommand give the coordinate as 0.10'.0 as the rectangle is at teh bottom in teh front view

RESULT:

AIM 3: To draw a 3d model wall

PROCEDURE:

  1. Draw a rectangle of 10'x9''.Center a line in the center and offset 1.5'' on the both sides as3" is the width of door opening.
  2. Use the command 'BO' for boundary and center the region i.e, both the region on the either side of the door openigs
  3. Extrude the region to a height of12'6''total height..
