Creating various 3D Models like Furniture, Footing, Girder, Column drop with panel and Gable Wall in AutoCad

Introduction: Autocad is a commercial Computer Aided Design(CAD), It is marked and developed as Autodesk. It was first released on december 1982. Autocad derived from a program, which was beganed in 1977 and then released in 1979 called as Interact CAD, and also called in early documents od autocad as microCAD, Auto desk cofounder was Michael Riddle.

The first version of cad was released in december 1982 and was supported on CP/M-80 computers, By march 1986 Aotocad has became most uniquitous cad program worldwide. The file format of autocad was .dwg, and its interchange file format to DXF, have become a standard. Autocad was included support for .dwf, a format developed and promoted by Autodesk, for publishing CAD date. In year 2022 the Autocad 36th major version was released and the 12th consecutive year of Autocad foe Mac.

CAD is a technology which replaces manual drawing with automated process, if you are a drafter, desingner, architect or engineer you have been used 2D or 3D CAD programs i.e., Autocad or Autocad LT software. Autocad helps you in draft construction documentation, explore ideas for design, viaualise concepts through photorealistic renderings and gives how a design performs in real world.

Autocad mailnly used by industries, architects, engineers, city planners, project managers, graphic designers and other professionals.

1. Aim: To create the given furniture by using 3D modelling in Autocad

Steps

1.Open new file in Autocad 2023, Type UNITS, use Engineering and take inches

2.Then LIMITS, Limits of lower left corner give (0,0) and limits of upper right corner (100',100')

3. Change the settings to 3D modelling

4. Set SW isometric view and draw using line command by direct distance method, in +Y 2'6" and in -X 3' and then in -Y 2'6"

5. Offset by 2" in inward direction and Trim the extra lines at corners

6. Make the object as Region, type reg and select the object

Then Extrude the object by 2'

7. Now select the Planar in the Surface panel

and select the bottom corner of back face and then opposite top corner, so then surface is create at the back of furniture table

8. change to Hidden view

9. Measure the dimensions accordingly by changing the UCS

2. Aim: To create the given drawing by using 3D modelling in Autocad

Steps:

1. Open new file in Autocad 2023, Type UNITS, use Engineering and take inches

2.Then LIMITS, Limits of lower left corner give (0,0) and limits of upper right corner (100',100')

3. Change the settings to 3D modelling

4. Set SW isometric view and draw rectangle of size 5'X5'

and then offset it to 2' in inward direction

5. select and move the small rectangle upward by 2', make sure to On ortho so it is correctly placed above

6. Use Loft and command and select small rectangle and then bigger one

5. Now Extrude the bigger rectangle by 6" in downward direction

6. In Hidden view

7. Measure the dimensions accordingly change the UCS as per required

Results:

4. Set Top view and draw and using line command draw 1' in X direction and 6" in -Y and from that point give coordinates as (@-3",3") then 1'6" in -Y and then (@6",-6") then 6" in -Y and give coordinates (@-1",-1") and 1'4" in -X direction

5. Use Mirror and complete the I section

6. Use Dimlinear and provide dimensions

7. Change SW- Isometric view from top view

8. Select and make region and then Extrude it downward by 10'

9. Set view according to the given

Results:

4. Set SW isometric view and draw rectangle of size 4'6"X4'6"

And offset it inward by 6" and then draw a circle at the center of rectangle with radius as 9"

5. Select and move circle by 1' in upward direction make to on ortho

Then use Loft and select circle and inner rectangle

6. Extrude the Bigger rectangle in downward by 6" and then draw again circle on the same circle and extrude it by 10' in upward direction

7. Place it in required view and measure dimensions by changing UCS

Results:

4. Set SW isometric view and draw a line X-Z plane by direct distance method, Take 10' in -Z direction and 3.5' in X and 7' in Z direction and 3' in X direction and again 7, in -z direction

then 3.5' in X and 10' in z then give co-ordinates as (@-5',0,2'6") then close

5. select and make region and then Extrude it by 9"

6. In hidden view

7. Provide dimension by changing UCS
