Creating 3D Isometric view of various structural elements in AutoCAD
1. Ans,
Diagram 1 :
Aim :
- To create a 3D isometric view of the building with plan and elevation
Introduction :
- Draw the 3D view of the building plan and elevation with Autocadd commands
Procedure :
- Draw the 2D plan of the building using line command and make it offset
- Once the 2D plan drawn next one is elevation
- Make the 2d plan to 3D view by changing view cube or by UCS command
- Once changing it Make each part has to be selected example ( all wall parts are selected )
- Make the command 'Boundary" and select the dropdown box to region and pick the points of the wall
- All wall are region
- Once the wall are region By using command Exturde to height the wall with given dimension
- In window are using UCS command place the Coordinates along the window plane make the square along the window and extrude it
- Make the window with proper dimension and layers has to be drawn along with the window
- Once it is draw is placed on the wall using changing Coordinates UCS
- And place the window
- Hence the diagram drawn
Diagram 2 :
Aim :

- And place the window
- Hence the diagram drawn
Diagram 3 :
Aim :
- To Create the ismoteric 3d view of a stair with railing as shown in the plan and elevation. Assume the
size of the balustrades and the hand rails.
Introduction :
- Draw the 3D view of the staircase with hand rail By using Autocad 2d and 3d commands
Procedure :
- Draw the 2D plan of the Staircase
- Once the 2D plan drawn next one is elevation
- Make the view cube in 3d and draw the staricase with riser and thread with standard dimensions
- Once N number of steps drawn and placing lander at top of stair and make the bottom flight with given measurement
- Once its drawn the All are selected and make the boundary options and make it region and extrude it
- Draw the lines between the ends
- Once staircase drawn then the handrail has to be drawn by placing ucs command on the face of the thread and make circle and make region and extrude it same of all
- In the starting point of the staircase draw the circle vertical along hand rail extrude in path along the handrails placed
- Hence the diagram drawn
Diagram 4 :
Aim :
- To Create the 3D view of a Wall with spread footing . Create the Door opening only. Assume the size of
the parpaet and the coping. See the plans and elevation for the details.
Introduction :
- Draw the 3D view of the Wall with spread footing By using Autocad 2d and 3d commands
Procedure :
- Draw the 2D plan of the wall with all layers
- Once the 2 d drawn change the plane and make it 3d view cube
- Draw the wall along the spread footing with dimensions and also the parpet
- Once drawn then Make region and extrude it
- Then the view of the spread footing along with the wall is on the plane
- Draw the door along the plane with center of the wall with proper dimension and make ucs command to draw it
- Hence the Wall with spread footing is drawn
Results :
- From all above procedure the given diagram are drawn with proper dimensions , These are some of the Main command used to draw the diagrams ( Line, Rectangle, UCS, Extrude, Boundary, Region, Layer etc...)Hence all the diagrams are properly drawn.
