1. Benchmark with presently available cars in the market for the following case.

Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii is a married man who lives in Bangalore which is a highly crowded city. His Family comprises five members including his wife, five-year-old boy, his father, and his mother. He visits his native place Madurai which is 500kms away from Bangalore once in a month. Also, he will be using his car to commute to his office. His budget falls between 8 to 10 lakhs on road. Please suggest to him with options so that he will buy a good car for his family.

Note: Pughazhyendhii is fond of big cars

Suggestion to the Customer:

• By considering customer requirement, I would like to suggest Tata Nexon for the customer because of its High EURO NCAP rating as well as by keeping customer Budget in mind. Not only that It has decent boot space and ground clearance up to 209mm and will give good milage.
• If the customer like to go some other brand, I would suggest Toyota Urban Cruiser, It is available with both manual and Automatic Transmission. Not only that Toyota cars are famous for Engine stability.

2 - Benchmarking:

Benchmarking is nothing but comparison between two or more similar Products produced by the same or different company. Technical benchmarking is done during the Predesign and development stage.

Benchmarking is done to determine the Performance capabilities of the product’s; benchmarking is done not only done to the products but also done between the services providing by different companies.

Benchmarking occurs across all types of companies, including private, public, nonprofit, and for-profit, as well as industries e.g., technology, education, and manufacturing. Many companies have positions or offices in the company that oversee benchmarking.

Tyre Benchmark test:

ATHOS IS OVERALL WINNER IN TYRE BENCHMARK TEST:

The tests carried out between September 2013 and January 2014 were based on a total of three identically constructed IVECO Stralia AS440S46T/FP LT tractor units of the latest series with EURO 6 engines, combined with Krone Mega trailer SD27. Each time, the whole units were equipped with tyres from one manufacturer. Of course, great importance was attached to the fuel consumption resulting from the use of the individual tyre brands. Their ranking sometimes varied depending on the useful load. Dunlop won the category of under 21 t, while Goodyear was top for a total weight of 32 t in the same size, with Athos taking respectable third and second places, respectively. After analyzing all the test criteria, such as fuel efficiency, grip in the wet, rolling resistance and economic efficiency, ATHOS tyres were top with 25 points.

Conclusion:

• All Mid varient cars are get compared in the above table. I Would suggest Hyundai Aura because it offers each and every feature offered by its rival companies, not only that it offers sufficient boot space than others do.
• If customer need a Premium car experiance I would suggest Volkswagen Ameo, we know VW is famous for Premium user experiance but in this case customer will have to adjust about the boot space.
• If customer need safest car of him or for his family, I would suggest Honda Amaze, Honda is Famous for building best cars which will provide not only best user experiance but olso safety to the passangers.
