The Tata Nexon comes with a lot of kit and features for its price range. The crossover offers extreme value for money while making no compromise on quality, especially inside. The fit and finish of the dashboard panel might not be the best out there, but is definitely the best in the segment.
One of the best features in the Tata Nexon worth mentioning is the 8-speaker Harman audio system which offers a sound quality, several leagues ahead.

Interiors:

Cons

  1. Rear Head room

The Tata Nexon offers a comfortable ride, thanks to its soft suspension and ergonomic seating. However, the crossover although being a five-seater on paper, struggles to offer adequate space at the rear. A letdown common in most sub-4-metre cars, the Tata Nexon's rear bench is not wide enough to seat three adults comfortably.
The Tata Nexon offers an ideal balance between city and highway driveability. The crossover comes with a dead pedal to rest your left leg.

Verdict

The Tata Nexon is one the best products you can buy under Rs 10 lakh. Tata Motors has really upped their game with the Tiago, Hexa and of course, the Nexon. With a lot of features and aids on offer, the Tata Nexon has definitely got more pros than cons.

2. TATA Tigor : Best Sedan with 4 star NCAP Safety

Mileage - 19 kmpl

Best Features

Pros

  • Impressive List Of Features : The Tigor comes with an impressive list of features for its segment. It offers projector automatic headlamps, automatic AC, auto wipers, steering-mounted controls, reverse parking camera, 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, auto-folding ORVMs, LED DRLs and keyless entry with push-button start/stop.
  • Satisfactory Boot Space With Hydraulic Struts : Tata Tigor offers a large boot space of 419L, which is just a litre short of Honda Amaze’s 420L of boot space. In addition to that, the Tigor is the only compact sedan with hydraulic struts for the boot opening. The presence of them makes the functionality smoother and also doesn’t intrude on the practical space inside the boot. So, you can expect slightly better storage than what you get with the C-hinge boot lids in other cars.

Interiors

Cons

  • No Diesel Engine Or Turbo Petrol Option : Tata pulled the plug on the diesel engine of the Tigor after the BS6 emission norms kicked in. Its rivals — the Honda Amaze and the Hyundai Aura continue to offer diesel engine options. The diesel engine is still a suitable choice for high-mileage buyers who travel over longer distances.
  • Missing Features : While the Tata Tigor comes with a good set of features like automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and keyless entry with push-button start/stop. It’d have made an even better package if it offered features like cruise control, LED headlights and front armrest.

Interiors

Cons

  1. Lack of seating space
  2. Stiffer Suspension.
  3. GT Line is over priced

Verdict

The Kia Sonet has created much buzz ahead of its market arrival. It is undoubtedly one of 2020's hottest launches. And yes it is driving in to what is a crowded segment with 5 strong players. Keep in mind that there are two iterations of the 1.5-litre CRDi (common rail diesel) engine viz. the WGT and VGT. The WGT is on the manual, it gives you 99 bhp of maximum power, and the VGT (the one I have been testing) gives you 113 bhp. So it's a little bit more powerful, and also gives you 10 Nm of extra peak torque. This is the same engine that goes into the diesel Seltos.

4. Hyundai Venue - Same heart with(sonet) different outfit

Price : 7.72 to 13.18 Lakhs

Mileage - 17 to 19 Kmpl

Best Features:

  1. Super refined engine.
  2. Good Service of Hyndai.
  3. High Quality Material interiors.

Pro

  1. Choice Of 3 Powertrain Options. (.2L normal petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel.)
  2. Good Performance and Fuel Efficiency With The 1.0L Turbo Petrol
  3. Loaded With Features.

Interiors

Cons

  1. Less safer compared to other
  2. No Diesel-Automatic Transmission Option
  3. Rear Armrest Not Available In Any Sub-Rs. 10 Lakh Variants

Verdict

Mechanically, all versions of the Hyundai Venue are pretty similar. All versions are powered by a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine making 121 horsepower with that power being sent to the front wheels via Hyundai's IVT. The IVT, like other continuously variable transmissions on the market, doesn't have set gears and is instead able to adjust the transmission ratios on the fly for maximum efficiency. Though the Venue makes only modest power, it's light enough that the vehicle doesn't feel too sluggish and the upshot is about 33 mpg on the highway, excellent for a crossover vehicle.
