Benchmarking

1)Benchmarking is comparing similar processes, services, or profiles based on particular criteria. In the case of Pughazhyendhi, he wants to buy a car based on the criteria such as

1. drive in a crowded city

2. five-seater

3. comfort and mileage

4. budget: 8-10L on-road price.

5. big vehicle

2) I can suggest automatic to reduce the frequent gear changes in the city drive but I cost is above our budget.

also can suggest hybrid/semi-hybrid/electric to have better mileage since he is having a 500km drive once a month and daily office drive).but this costs beyond our budget.

and also we can go with either petrol or diesel. I will suggest petrol itself in comparison with the price and maintenance of petrol and diesel vehicles.

since he is having more drive, eventually give more priority to mileage and also budget.

in this case of benchmarking, I am comparing budget, mileage, comfort, five-seaters, and big vehicle of different vehicles.

3)Based on budget, mileage, comfort, five-seaters, and big vehicle, I can suggest him four vehicles

Hyundai Aura,Maruthi suzuki Baleno, Maruthi suzuki Fronx,Toyota Glanza.

1. all the vehicle's price varies in the range of 7.46L,7.69,8.79,7.84

2.mileage-20,23.1,21.79,23.1 km/L

3. in the case of comfort both Baleno and Glanza give better and the same.

4. the boot space /dixy space are 402,318,308,318L

5. all the vehicles are 5 seaters.

4) after the benchmarking among the 4 vehicles I conclude Toyota Glanza is the best option. Even though Glanza and Baleno have similar features but Toyota provides a 3-year(1L km)warranty whereas 2 years(40000 km) for Maruti.price range has slight variation but it coveres in case of warranty.
