Benchmarking
2) Prepare a report explaining what is Bench-Marking
BENCHMARKING: The word benchmarking is nothing but 'COMPARISON'. In automobile industries this word is used mostly, because the main objective of automobile industries is to prepare a product(car) which is more good and more efficient and satisfying the customer satisfaction. They keep this things in mind and they will start their work. Generally, there are four stages in automobile industries for vehicle development and manufacturing, they are
1) Pre-design and development
2) Design engineering
3) Development engineering
4) SOP & Vehicle market.
In predesign and development stage the benchmarking process will done. There are benchmarkings like 1 &2.Why the benchmarking is comparison and these comparison will done by a B.M team and they will compared with their previous products and their competiteres products. Why this will done because every time when they are plan to release new product , the customers will have some expectations on new product. So these team will come active before starting their new product. In these team the developemnt team, design team will also include.
3) Compare at least 4 vehicles.
| CAR NAME | RATE | ENGINE TYPE | MILLEAGE | GEAR SYSTEM |
| MARUTI BREEZA | 8.29 LAKHS | 1462CC | 19.8 | AUTOMATIC |
| MARUTI ERTIGA | 9.35 LAKHS | 1462 CC | 20.3 | AUTOMATIC |
| TATA TIAGO | 8.69 LAKHS | ELECTRIC | 315km/charge | AUTOMATIC |
| NISSAN KICKS | 9.49 LAKHS | 1330 CC | 14.23 | AUTOMATIC |
4. Provide a proper conclusion for the report, suggesting a single suitable vehicle among the comparison made with images.
A) From the above given table, I mostly goes to 'TATA TIAGO' which is an electric vehicle and also gives high mielage for full charge battery. And also automatic system. But what we need to care is we need to check the whether the battery is fully charged or not and it should be servicable upto its time period.
