Benchmarking of Vehicles

OBJECTIVE:

• Benchmarking of vehicles in the 8-10 lakh segment which fulfill the customer's needs.
• Suggesting one suitable vehicles to the customer after the comparison.

BENCHMARKING:

What is Benchmarking?

In Benchmarking we define several products available in the market in the same segment and compare them on various parameters such as price, specifications, features etc.

In our case we will benchmark 4 vehilces which fulfills our customer's needs in the 8-10 lakh category. Mr Pughazhyendhi is fond of big cars and has a family of 5. So we need at least 5 seater vehicle with safety as topmost priority, then comes mileage and cofort as well. Luggage space will also be an important factor since customer visits his native place once a month and must be doing some trips as well apart from his daily commute.

In this segment, compact SUVs can give big car feel as these have high seating position, ample view of surroundings, robustly build and perfect for Indian road conditions. So, we are going to compare four popular compact SUVs in this segment.

CONCLUSION:

• In this comparison chart, we can see that on the basis of safety being our topmost priority due to large no. of daily road accidents in India, Nexon and XUV300 have 5 star NCAP rating which is very good thing considering Indian brands.
• Now, among these two cars, Nexon is clearly more practical due to its large boot space, roomy seats for 3 people at the middle part, better fit finish, comfort and build quality, largest ground clearance and better mileage than XUV300. Stock music system is also much better in the comparison.
• So, I will suggest Nexon XE Diesel for Mr. Pughazhyendhi's family car.
