objective
To find a car for Mr.D.S. Pughazhyendhii who has a family contain 5 members for his family and his personal purposes i have to find a car for his own purposes
Task
Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii is a married man who lives in Bangalore and his Family comprises five members including his wife, a five-year-old boy, his father, and his mother. He visits his native place Madurai and also, he will be using his car to commute to his office. His budget falls between 8 to 10 lakhs on road.He is fond of big cars.Suggesting a single suitable vehicle for pugal.
My views
Despite it is a big family my customer is a fan of big cars like SUV so, i would like to showcase some of the budget SUV below within the range of 8 to 10L.Here i would like to choose four cars which suits for pugal budgets
what is benchmarking?
Benchmarking is basically two types and it is nothing but a comparison among the Cars available in the market
- at first i have to compare two underbody coating between two cars using Elchometer which is used to calculate thickness and NITON-XLT to analyze material composition
- To check the markets in which our car is going to sell because it is the primary duty for the design Engineer to follow the standards which are differ from country to country
- As a design Engineer i have to check the underbody coating for the cars in any variant particularly which type of car i used to design so, the type and variant of the car may be differ in some cases but which type is currently running in a market/my competitor produce a car which also look like same as our design so, i have to be very conscious while comparing cars
Comparing some the SUV
a)these are the front seat and Dashboard for Toyota urban cruiser and Mahindra XUV300 both are same in spaces but the price for XUV 8.41L and for Cruiser 9.02L both are come under pugal budget but rear seat is not suitable for the family who are elder people so i go for another cars.

Both are the images for the rear seat interior they all are having the same footspace but for the cost it is not enough to hold a family contains 5 members
Mileage for both cars:
| MAHINDRA XUV300 | TOYOTA URBAN CRUISER |
| 20kmpl | 18.7kmpl |
FRONT SEAT AND DASHBOARD COMPARISION FOR TATA AND BREZZA

a)These are the front seat and dashboard for the Maruti brezza 7.99L and Tata nexon 7.69L both are looks good and familier but for the cost and mileage this two cars are way ahead than the urban cruiser and XUV300 when compared to rear seat foot space these 7lakhs SUV killers suits for Pugal family
REAR SEAT COMPARISON

b)when compared to brezza nexon looks better for the elder people who are like to travel for a long time why because from Bangalore to Madurai like in the question says takes approx 500KM to reach so it is been so difficult and uncomfort for old people sit along for 8 to 9 hours so that's why i prefer Tata Nexon for pugal family.
| MARUTI BREZZA | TATA NEXON |
| 19.9kmpl | 22kmpl |
MY CONCLUSION:
As a design perspective and also cost, mileage perspective i would like to suggest Mr D.S. Pughazhyendhi's family TATA NEXON is the best choice to fulfill all their transport requirement in cost point of view and mileage point of view.
a) At this time petrol cost is change over from time to time so Nexon gives 22 km per litre
b) seating arrangement and foot space are also good and also looks similar when compared to other SUV.
c) Finally the cost is within pugal's budget
