Benchmarking

BENCHMARKING REPORT

Benchmarking in the automotive industry is defined as a tool for a particular company that helps them to improve and stay competitive in the market.

It involves the process of measuring, analyzing and comparing our own company or its products with other competitors to explore, and discover how to improve our performance.

In the case given to me, I will prepare a benchmarking, firstly, I will note down my requirements and situations,

  • Need of car.
  • Have 5 members.
  • Lives in a crowded city.
  • Once in every month, the whole family visits their native place 500km far. So he travels 1000km minimum each month.
  • Along with this, he travels to his office daily.
  • Budget 8 – 10 lakh.
  • Note – He is fond of big cars.

So, firstly lets create a data of some presently available cars with some required information

Comparing all above we can able now to eliminate cars having less cargo volume which looks small in size, cars having less mileage, and cars with worth the money. Red ones can be removed,

The reason is that they have comparatively less mileage but with higher cost along with only 5 seater capacity.

And finally comparing the above 3 cars, I feel 3rd one has prize much higher hence, it is eliminated. The 2nd car also cost higher, even though it has 7 seater but its of no use as his family contain only 5 members, hence it also comes under elimination list.

Hence finally I suggest Mr. D.S. Pughazhyendhii to buy the Mahindra KUV100 NXT car by analysing all his needs and presently available cars.

Below attached are its pictures of Mahindra KUV100 NXT for reference.
