Assignment 2

BMEP=IMEP-FMEP=10.61-1.13=9.48 [bar]

BSFC= 239.2 [g/kW*h]

Air Flow Rate = 24.6 [Kg/h]

In-cylinder Pressure=48.9 bar

Answer 2:

To increase the engine power of 10% we have to increase the compression ratio through the increase of the cylinder so that more power can be generated. For example by increasing the size of the cylinder by just 3 mm (Bore, Stroke, Connecting Rod Length) the results are quite good.

In this we can see that the Power is Increased by 10%.
