Design of Bracket using NX CAD software (Challenge 6)
Objective
Objective here is to learn the effective use of counter flange along with other additional features such as normal cutout, bead etc.
Introduction
Siemens Nx which was formerly known as Unigraphics, is a user-friendly design software. Which is basically used for advanced CAD/CAM/CAE.
The command counter flange can be used when there is open curve of any shape.
Part Navigator
Description
Sketch – it is 2 – D design feature, it a basic command to design anything.
Counter Flange – this a command which converts any open curve into sheet metal. It does require the tab to form flange as in the case of flange command.
Normal cutout – any sketch drawn on the surface of the sheet metal can be cut using this command.
Unbend – unbend is the command to create a flat pattern.
Re bend – use to re bend the complete sheet metal.
Bead – it is used to provide support and strength to sheet metal.

Conclusion
This challenge helps to learn how to use command such as Counter flange, bead, normal cutout and helps understand the uses of it.
