Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_5_Odd Shaped Enclosure
Title: - Odd Shaped Enclosure Design Using NX Cad in Sheet Metal.
Objective:
The main objective of this project is to design the ODD_SHAPED_ENCLOSURE Sheet metal part using NX CAD Sheet metal tools and drafting the part in flat pattern to view for manufacturing and design purpose.
Introduction: This project is to create the enclosure by creating solid body and wrapping the sheet metal over the solid body. Unbend the Sheetmetal to add the more features like Beads, Louver, Dimple and hole etc. and rebend the sheet metal and create the flat pattern to check the manufacturing requirement.
Design Methodology: -
Description (with explanation tools/ Features used while designing):
- Creating the Solid body: - Create the sketch for solid body. Then apply the extrude feature to the sketch in modeling tools. Sketch extruded up to 200 mm.
- Wrap the solid body: - Using the Sheet metal from solid feature wrap solid body with the sheet metal. This feature help us to add more features.
- Adding the Feature:- add the appropriate feature on sheet metal such as Flange, Jog etc.
- Unbend and rebend: Unbend the sheet metal to add more features on sheet metal like Beads, Louver, Dimple. After added features rebend the sheet metal.
5. Flat Pattern:- Create the Flat Pattern by using the flat pattern tools.
