Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challeng _5_ Odd Shape Enclosuer.

Objective :-

To design an odd shaped Enclosure using Siemens NX Sheet Metal.

Introduction:-

Unigraphics NX is an advanced high-end CAD/CAM/CAE software package originally developed by UGS Corporation but owned by Siemens PLM Software since 2007. It is used for designing, engineering analysis, production of the finished design using the included machining modules, among others.NX Sheet Metal provides a set of tools within the NX design environment that allows simple and fast design of sheet metal parts depending on their material and production process, the most common of which is direct sheet metal forming with a brake.

The Important tools which used during designing of odd shape Encloser are as follow:

Sketch:-

Create Sketch in XY plane.

Then Extrude

Used to create a sheet metal body from a solid body.

Then Create the Flange

Create Sketch for jog Command use

It is used to Jog

Unbend Use

Sketch Create for Bead Command

Then Bead Use

Add Hole Command

And Rebend use

The Odd Shaped Enclosure was designed using Siemens NX sheet metal and various functions were successfully implemented. A sketched image of the flat pattern is also obtained.
