ODD SHAPED ENCLOSURE
OBJECTIVE : Design the odd shaped enclosure in sheet metal using NX CAD.
INTRODUCTION : In this project we design odd shaped enclosure using basic sheet metal commands such as
- Sketch
- Extrude
- Sheet metal from solid
- Flange
- Jog
- Unbend
- Bead
- Hole
- Rebend
- Flat pattern
DESIGN METHODOLOGY :
DESCRIPTION :
- SKETCH – It is used to create 2d sketch.
- EXTRUDE – It is used to extrude 2d sketch.
- SHEET METAL FROM SOLID – It is used to create a sheet metal body from solid body.
- FLANGE – It is used to make a flange on the sheet metal body.
- JOG – It is used to create the jogs.
- UNBEND- It is used to unbend the sheet metal body.
- BEAD- It is used to make beads on surfaces.
- HOLE – It is used to create holes .
- REBEND – It is used to rebend the sheet metal.
- FLAT PATTERN – It is used to make flat pattern of component.
CONCLUSION :
Odd shaped enclosure modelled successfully in sheet metal in NX CAD.
