Objective: To design a casing using Siemens NX Cad cad.
Introducton: NX Sheet Metal Design includes tools for unfolding bends to create accurate flat patterns for fabrication.
Design Methodology:
Description:
Sketch: Sketch is basic 2d drawing with representing circle,rectangel,lines, curves, etc before performing operations
Tab : Creates a bae feature by extruding a sketch along a vector by a thickeness value, or adds material to plannar face.
Flange : Adds a flange at an angle to a plannar face and adds a bends between the two faces.
Unbend: Flattens a bend and the material adjacent to the bend
Rebend: Restore an unbend feature to its previous bent stage , along with any feature added after the unbend feature.
Dimple: Lift an area of the model inside or outside a sketch that simulates a stamping tool.
Bead : Lifts material along the contour of a sketch that simulates a stamping tool, creates a solid using a path and cross section shape.
