Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_1_Casing Design
Project : Case Design

Objective:
Design of casing using NX sheet metal software by following required operations , standard values and given dimensions to create it.
Introduction:
While designing casing in sheet metal , we go through some operations like tab, flange , dimple etc.. to create the final part in NX software.
Methodology:
Follow the below flow chart of the design operation :

Tree structure:

Operations did during designing are as follows:
1)TAB:
It creates a base feature by extruding sketch along vector direction at the thickness value or adding material to planar.
2)FLANGE:
Adds a flat flange at an angle to a planar face and adds a bend between the two.
3)BLEND:
Rounds a sharp corner of tab or flange.
4)DIMPLE:
Lifts an area of the model inside a sketch that stimulates the stamping tool.
5)NORMAL CUT:
It cuts material by projecting a sketch onto the model and then cutting perpendicular to the faces intersected by the faces.
6)UNBEND:
Flatterns a bend and the material adjacent to the bend.
7)REBEND:
Restores an unbend feature to its previous bent state, along with any feature added after the unbend feature.
