- What is underbody coating?
Underbody coating is a thick resilient coating applied to the under body of an automobile to protect against external environment condition, such as the baking from the hot road in summer, the anti-frozen gent in winter, raining water and the salty water in the atmosphere, will attach the under body of a car. Particular in coast areas, the wind from the sea will bring more salt to the air, which will accelerate the corrosion and reduce the service life of a car.
- Process
After market kits are available for applying coating on both external and inside enclosed section.coating material are usually wax based or black viscous liquid ex: Bardhal’s rust coat, which can be applied by aerosol can,brush,low pressure pump or shutz compressor fed spray guns. Usually thickness of coating is dependent on impact area where corrosion is more.
