Underbody Coating and It s necessities

UNDERBODY COATING:

Under body coating is basically a coating like paint but comprises of other elements apart from paint which is a kind of water acrylic used to apply under that portion of car which faces the road i.e underbody of car.

As under body here refers under the car & coating means same, to apply a thin layer of some material.

So, Why this coating?

As we all want to keep our car safe, and want it perform well in long run.So to keep it safe we sometimes need to look down under the car as underbody of car faces a lot of roads obstruction like water, prone to chipping because of stones, pot-holes etc.

As water can lead to corrosion & other obstruction too harm the underbody a thick layer of 5-7mm or in some cases 3-4mm of coating ( ex- 3M, Rubberized undercoating,it is easy to apply, and generally offers the best protective coating for your car\'s undercarriage, Penray, Rust-Oleum.etc.) is applied which keeps under body, corrosion resistant , chippping resistant & also keep safe some other parts like frames, inner cavities etc which may get corrode if water comes in contact.Even when some stone hit to chip out the material, it fails as it also prevent from chipping out material hence it also resist from corrosion.it also reduces the sound coming from under portion of car and behave as an insulator towards heat and cold.
