Gate Valve Parametric Analysis

Introduction:

A gate valve, also called sluice valve, is a valve used to isolate the flow in pipeline. They are controlled either by clockwise rotation to close (CTC) or clockwise to open (CTO) rotating stem. When operating the valve the gate moves up and down on the threaded stem. It is preferred as it does not restrict the flow when completely open. They are preferably used in large diameter pipes due to simple construction.

In the current problem, we will doing a parametric study on gate valve to check the variation in mass flow rate due to change in valve opening height.
